Toad is BeyondMS's Ninja Castle boss, and the step between Pink Bean and Von Leon. To fight it you need Rebirth 5 and 10 Pink Bean kills. You can run it 5 times a week, and you need 10 Toad kills to unlock Von Leon. It drops the Green Mask, a popular face accessory.

Requirements

Rebirth 5+.
Pink Bean defeated 10 times.
Items: 75 Ninto Scrolls and 1 Kacchuu Musha Fragment, handed to Naosuke after the jump quest. Farm them in Room 9 of the castle (confirmed in-game by Andrew, Oct 11, 2026).
Jump quest: either finish the Ninja Castle jump quest, or do the short prequest chain once and pay Sai 50,000,000 mesos to skip it (confirmed in-game by Andrew, Oct 11, 2026). Toad's Wallet, dropped by Toad, gives back 50M, so the skip pays for itself.
Weekly runs: 5 per week. Type @weekly in-game to see how many you have left.

Meet the prerequisites
Reach Rebirth 5 and kill Pink Bean 10 times. Pink Bean allows 5 runs a week, so this takes at least 2 weeks.
Get to Ninja Castle
Go to Mushroom Shrine in Zipangu and talk to the NPC Palanquin, who takes you to Ninja Castle. Palanquin is BeyondMS content and isn't in the v83 data, so it has no NPC page.

One time, optional: unlock the jump quest skip
This MapleRoyals chain unlocks Sai's skip. You need level 40+ to start it there. 1. Akai at Outside Ninja Castle: accept Helping Others. 2. Nobuo on the next map, Inside the Castle Gate: accept Cooperation. Collect 50 Kunoichi Daggers from Kunoichi, then hand them in to Fuji at the top of the same map. 3. Fuji: accept Collecting Info. Collect 50 Ninto Scrolls (from Ninto) and 1 Samurai Knight Armor Piece (from Samurai). Turn them in to Princess Suzume on the right side of Inside the Castle Gate. 4. Done. Sai, at the start of the jump quest, now offers the skip. Needs in-game check: is this prequest chain the same on BeyondMS? None of these NPCs are in the v83 data.
Climb the castle (floors 1–9)
Follow the numbered circles on the map below: from floor 1 take the portal marked 2, from floor 2 the one marked 3, and so on. Plain numbers lead backward, and underlined numbers are floor traps that drop you down. The mobs are around level 125 (Ninto). Mnemonic (CupOfJoe, MapleRoyals): the forward portal on floors 1–6 is top, middle, bottom, top, bottom, top. Floors 7–9 have yellow walls and are easy from there.

Floor 9 to the jump quest
On the last yellow floor, take the hole/portal shown below, then the top-right-most portal (up the stairs on the right). It leads to the jump quest map (bumblebutt's answer on Discord matches the MapleRoyals room 9 screenshot).

Jump quest, or pay Sai
Climb the jump quest to the end, or talk to Sai at the start and pay him 50,000,000 mesos to warp ahead (BeyondMS, confirmed in-game; Toad's Wallet drops 50M back after the kill). Then give Naosuke your 75 Ninto Scrolls and 1 Kacchuu Musha Fragment to advance toward Toad (BeyondMS, confirmed in-game). He sends you straight to Toad; there's no maze on BeyondMS (confirmed in-game).

Fight Toad
Run the expedition. If you disconnect, you can rejoin from the entrance/return map as long as another member is still inside. Each clear counts toward the 10 kills for Von Leon.

Entry and runs

Rewards: 60 Perfect Pitch per clear (changelog, Aug 1, 2026). Drops the Green Mask (face accessory).
Toad counts for guild GRP (boss clears, changelog Oct 8, 2026).
Monsters on the way (names from the MapleRoyals guides, not in our v83 data): Ashigaru, Genin, Chunin, Jonin, Kunoichi, Ninto and Samurai.

Tips

Do the skip prequest once. After that, each trip costs 50,000,000 mesos instead of a jump quest; Toad's Wallet drops 50M back.
Farm your 75 Ninto Scrolls and the Kacchuu Musha Fragment in Room 9 before taking the jump quest portal.
Save Mushroom Shrine on a teleport rock. Palanquin is the start of every Toad trip.
