APQ is pretty much the only source of Onyx Apple and 60% shoe ATT scrolls. It's also the best source of diamonds and black crystals. The "prequest" is getting married: you don't have to run APQ with your partner, and marrying a mule is fine.

Requirements

Married (Discord). Both partners must be level 50+ to marry (official guide).
Level 40+ for APQ (MapleLegends guide quoted in the Discord post; also the v83 default).
Party: 6, at least one male and one female, all married (v83 default). Needs in-game check: BeyondMS APQ party size and whether every member must be married
Wedding Ticket from the Cash Shop.

Get engaged
Both partners must be level 50+ and in a party. In Henesys, talk to Thomas Swift to get to Amoria. Whoever will be the groom talks to Moony, who asks for any 4 Proofs of Love from the six Nanas (Nana(H), Nana(E), Nana(P), Nana(K), Nana(O), Nana(L)). Each Nana wants 50 of something: Henesys 50 Orange Mushroom Caps, Perion 50 axes, Kerning 50 Bubbling bubbles, Ellinia 50 Lupin dolls, Orbis 50 Cellion tails, Ludibrium 50 Buffy hats.
Make the ring and propose
Bring the 4 Proofs back to Moony and pick a ring: Moonstone (1 moon rock + 1 diamond), Star Gem (1 star rock + 1 diamond), Golden Heart (1 gold plate + 1 diamond) or Silver Swan (1 silver plate + 1 diamond), plus mesos. Double-click the ring box to propose; your partner accepts the pop-up. Then visit Mom and Dad (Meet the Parents) for the Parents' Blessing quest. Tip (bumblebutt): Moon Rocks drop fairly often from rotting skeletons in NLC's Haunted Mansion.
Get married
Buy a Wedding Ticket in the Cash Shop. Book the Chapel (Bonnie) or the Cathedral (Nicole), wait for the blue notice, and go in through Wayne (Chapel) or High Priest John (Cathedral). After the timer in the reservation room, wait 2 minutes, then both of you talk to the NPC to complete the marriage. Keep at least 2 Etc slots free: a Golden Maple Leaf drops into your inventory during the wedding.

Start APQ
Form your party at Entrance of Amorian Challenge. The party leader talks to Amos the Strong.
Stage 2: rope logic
This is the only confusing stage, along with Stage 3. Eliminate rope combinations using the solution tree or the spreadsheet below.

Stage 3: platform code
Four players stand on the top four platforms, and one player on the first platform of the second row (C). The leader clicks, some slimes appear, and you note the number. The bottom player then moves one platform right, and you repeat until you have counts for C, 6, D, 9 and 5. The number of slimes equals the number of correct platforms, so a change of +1/−1 tells you whether the platform the bottom player just moved to is right. Move players onto the correct bottom platforms, then brute-force the top ones. Tip: if the first click shows 1 or 2 slimes, it's faster to work backwards. The full code table is below.

Tips

Still worth running for Onyx Apples and Shoe ATK 60% scrolls, even now that other PQs give completion bonuses (Andrew, in-game, Oct 11, 2026).
You don't have to run APQ with your spouse, and a married mule works.
A weapon with "faster" attack speed hits more boxes in the bonus stage (MapleLegends guide).
K's haul per 4 runs: 10–20 Onyx Apples, 6–12 diamonds, 6–12 black crystals, 2–6 60% shoe ATT scrolls, plus capes and 30% cape scrolls.
Party Quest rule: one main character and at most one mule at a time (BeyondMS rules G.2).

Stage 3 code table

Counts are the slimes you see at C, 6, D, 9 and 5, in order. Three columns of codes mean the same thing (your base count may be 1, 2 or 3).
